Courtesy call and exchange of greetings with Hon'ble Chief Justice, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of Rabindra University

On January 8, 2022, Honorable Chief Justice Hasan Fayez Siddiqui received a courtesy call and exchanged greetings with the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Rabindra University, Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Md. Shah Azam. During this time they exchanged views on various issues.

The Honorable Chief Justice expressed his interest in the culturally specialized university established with the tradition of world poet Rabindranath Tagore and would like to be informed about the current activities of this university. In this context, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Rabindra University informed him about the aspirations of the University and its recent activities. The students, teachers, officials and employees of Rabindra University are working hard to overcome the session clutter of the university, ensure a conducive learning environment, and achieve the dream of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Honorable Prime Minister in the field of education, said the Vice-Chancellor.

Expressing satisfaction over the positive efforts and progress of Rabindra University, the Honorable Chief Justice hoped that Rabindra University would contribute in the field of education and culture in the national and international arena. Honorable Chief Justice thinks that law education can play an effective role in establishing human rights. Therefore, he requested the Vice-Chancellor to consider whether the Faculty of Law can be started in Rabindra University. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Rabindra University also agreed with the Honorable Chief Justice. Honorable Chief Justice expressed his desire to come to Rabindra University and address the students when the Faculty of Law is started. Honorable Chief Justice and Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Rabindra University were born in the same district.
